Our Company
wellbuiltnetworks llc was started in 2001 as a computer consulting company. Hosting has been going on under the wellbuiltnetworks moniker all that time, though primarily for our consulting clients. Our largest and busiest site so far is a web forum that we've hosted since its inception in 2002.
We've moved to a clustered H-Sphere solution in July 2005 - prior to that administration was all done manually.
Our core competence is technical aptitude, but our focus is customer service. It's one thing to offer a service that never breaks; it's another thing entirely to meet all of our clients' needs in a timely manner, while handholding them through the technical hurdles that would otherwise be incomprehensible.
Our Mission
It's our goal to provide the best hosting available. This means:
- As close as we can get to 100% uptime
- Responsive servers that never give our clients reason to complain
- Helpful support staff to get new clients up and running quickly, and to help established clients with tasks they don't regularly perform.
To accomplish these goals, we've carefully picked our data center, our servers, and the software we run.
Our Network
Our servers are hosted with GNAX through one of the companies that rents space there. The facility we use is climate controlled with access to multiple Internet backbones and conditioned back-up power. Both our hosting company and GNAX staff are available to replace failed hardware 24 hours a day. Replacement hardware is stored on-site.
Our Servers
We own all of our own servers -- they're not leased or rented in any way. We also manage our own servers, and administration is done by our staff so we always know how things are configured.
Since hard drives are both vital and the most likely component to fail, all of our machines employ RAID so they can continue without slowdown or data loss should a single drive fail.
Backups are performed multiple times per day and stored off-site to protect against catastrophic site failures.
Our Platform
Our servers run CentOS Linux, and we use H-Sphere to manage client accounts.
